Upcoming conferences focus on wrongful convictions

Innocence Project Co-Director Peter Neufeld will speak Friday at a conference in Los Angeles on the causes of wrongful convictions and reforms proposed by the Innocence Project to stem the tide of injustice. More than a dozen other experts in the field will join Neufeld at the conference, which is hosted by the Southwestern University Law School.

• March 14-15, New York, NY: Litigating Eyewitness Identification Cases in the 21st Century.

The conference will focus on eyewitness identification procedures and proposed reforms to standards used by courts in assessing eyewitness evidence. More information here.

• March 28-30, Santa Clara, California: Innocence Network Conference

The annual meeting of Innocence Network members will feature presentations by leaders in the fields of DNA testing, post-conviction appellate litigation based on claims of innocence, false confessions, eyewitness identification and more.
