Symposium to Explore Issue of Inadequate Defense

On Tuesday, the Cardozo School of Law in New York City will hold a symposium titled “Reviving Gideon: Reforming the Right to Counsel,” hosted by the Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal. Speakers include Robin Steinberg, founder of the Bronx Defenders, Mary Smid Mergler, senior counsel for the Constitution Project’s Criminal Justice Program, exoneree Jeffrey Deskovic and others.
 
Programs will run throughout the day from 11 am to 6 pm in the Jacob Burns Moot Court Room at Cardozo School of Law at 55 Fifth Ave and are open to the public.
