MSNBC Asks: Is the Justice System Broken?

Innocence Project Co-Director Barry Scheck appeared on Sunday’s episode of MSNBC’s “Up with Chris Hayes” to discuss the death penalty and flaws in the criminal justice system that lead to wrongful convictions. Scheck was joined by Liliana Segura, Associate Editor of The Nation; Michael Brendan Dougherty, Politics Editor of BusinessInsider.com; and John McWhorter, New York Daily News columnist. Scheck says:


“People do not trust the state to get it right, and for very good reason, and that is the significance of the innocence movement.”
