Lisa Burger

Lisa comes to the Innocence Project with nine years of experience in community organizing and advocacy. In fact, it was an internship with the Innocence Project of Minnesota during her first year of law school that sparked Lisa’s interest in policy reform. In the years between IP work, Lisa honed her coalition-building and grassroots advocacy skills and prides herself on being able to rally unlikely allies for a common cause. From cattle ranchers in the mountains of Colorado to inner-city artists, Lisa has experience working in communities of all shapes and sizes.
 
In addition to building cohesive coalitions and grassroots movements, Lisa also brings expertise in conflict resolution, campaign management, policy advancement, volunteer management, and social media strategy.
 
Lisa holds a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology from the College of Saint Benedict.
