Joe Blaney

Director of State Legislative Reform

Prior to joining the Innocence Project, Joe served as Senior Counsel for the New Jersey Senate Majority Office, where he helped orchestrate the enactment of three major prisoner reentry bills in 2009. Previously, he had served as Senior Counsel for New Jersey’s nonpartisan Office of Legislative Services.
 
Joe holds a J.D. from the Rutgers University of School of Law in Newark and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Nebraska.
