Innocence Project Offices Closed
Posted: November 1, 2012 3:50 pm
Update: Power has been restored to our building at 40 Worth Street and we expect to re-open our offices on Monday, November 5.
As you probably know, New York City and other communities along the East Coast are coping with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Thankfully, the Innocence Project’s staff is safe and sound, but some of our neighbors have lost loved ones, and many more have seen their homes devastated by the storm. Our hearts go out to them at this challenging time.
The Innocence Project’s offices have not been spared from power outages and disruptions to other basic services that have yet to return in the wake of the storm. Out of necessity, we will remain closed until power is restored, while our staff will work remotely wherever possible.
Our regular phone and mail service has been disrupted, though we do have some limited ability to receive and respond to email - inquiries may be made through our general mailbox, email@example.com. You can also receive updates by following us on Facebook and Twitter. If you have made a donation, please forgive us if it takes a little longer to acknowledge your gift than we would like. Online gifts can be made at https://secure.innocenceproject.org/donate and are very much appreciated.
We will have our office up and running normally again as soon as possible and, in the meantime, are doing all we can to ensure that the work we do on behalf of the wrongfully convicted continues to move forward smoothly. Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support.
