Friday Roundup: NJ's Supreme Court Ruling on Eyewitness Identification has National Impact

Houston Senator Rodney Ellis is hopeful Texas judicial leaders will review New Jersey’s ruling and establish similar procedures to improve eyewitness identifications.

In November, Oregon’s Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case involving suggestive police procedures during an eyewitness identification.

Chicago Tribune editorial highlights wrongful conviction case—later overturned by DNA evidence—as a result of
eyewitness misidentification.

Florida law enforcement resists recommendations to standardize eyewitness identification procedures.
