A Nevada crime lab received a $173,488 Coverdell grant that will be used to reduce the backlog of more than 460 firearms examinations.

A federal judge ruled that Oklahoma City is not liable for forensic scientist Joyce Gilchrist’s faulty lab-work that led to an innocent man spending 17 years in prison for a rape he did not commit.

Robert Lee Stinson, who served more than 23 years in prison for a murder DNA proves he didn’t commit, adjusts to freedom by balancing resentment with hope.

The Michigan legislature approved funding for a new police headquarters, including a $15-million state-of-the-art crime lab.

Five months after problems appeared with North Carolina’s State Bureau of Investigation, it remains unclear who will be tasked with heading-up the troubled crime lab.
