David Dodge

Policy and Communications Manager

David joined the Innocence Project in November 2012. Before that, David worked as an electoral and grassroots community organizer and researcher. From 2008 to 2010, he served as the coordinator of the Right to the City-NYC alliance, a grouping of over 20 community organizations fighting displacement in low-income communities. During this time, he also worked as a research associate with the Urban Justice Center, where he conducted a range of participatory action research on behalf of low-income and LGBTQ populations. During the 2008 electoral season, he served as the lead organizer on SAVE Dade’s, “No on Amendment 2” Campaign, an attempt to defeat Florida’s anti-LGBTQ marriage amendment. At Community Voices Heard, where he worked from 2005 to 2007, he founded a grassroots organizing campaign to save and improve the public housing system in New York City.
 
David is a graduate of New York University and holds a Masters of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
