Bryce Benjet joined the Innocence Project as a staff attorney in the summer of 2012. He was previously with the law firm Hull Henricks LLP where he concentrated his practice in appellate, administrative, and general civil and commercial litigation. In addition to his civil practice, Mr. Benjet represented prisoners in post-conviction challenges in murder cases. Before joining Hull Henricks LLP, Mr. Benjet served as staff attorney to Justice Bea Ann Smith of the Third Court of Appeals from 2003-2006.
From 1998-2003, Mr Benjet was a staff attorney for the Texas Defender Service working in both the Houston and Austin Offices. He began his legal career as the Judy Clarke Fellow at the Center for Capital Litigation in Columbia, South Carolina.
Mr. Benjet was born in Willingboro, New Jersey and graduated from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Illinois. He received a B.A. in history from Brandeis University in 1995 and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998. Mr. Benjet is admitted to practice in New York and Texas.
